Academics

The faculty of St. Philip the Apostle School is comprised of certified teachers who are committed to Catholic education.
St. Philip the Apostle School is proud of its academic achievements. The national battery of achievement tests, the Iowa Test of Basic Skills taken diocesan wide, shows that our school scores substantially above the average when compared to elementary schools across the country. Our students, compared to those at their grade level nationally, average in the upper 25% and the longer they are in our school this percentage goes to the top 10% of their group.
A large percentage of our graduates annually rank in the top of their high school classes and go on to outstanding degrees of achievement at the college level. We continue to excel in spelling and geography bees, Scholastic Bowls, and regional and statewide science and history fair competitions. We are recognized by the State of Texas for academic excellence and safety standards.
