While everyone has been off this summer, the school has gone through some major improvements the month of July. Our school hallways are getting a new look. A fresh coat of paint has transformed our walls with the school colors thanks to our custodians: Mr. Vazquez and Carmelo. That drab carpet has been pulled up and the major work of getting the floors ready for tile started the last week in July. It has been back breaking and tedious work but we have had a wonderful group of volunteers who have been putting in long hours to make this change happen. Thank you to Mr. Michael Devereaux and Builders Surplus for the donation of the tile flooring. A big thank you to Mr. Carlos Garza, who has given us his expertize in laying floor tiling, and Mr. Robert Catalano, who has been working tirelessly as his assistant. A big thank you to our parents who have volunteered to help us: Mr & Mrs. Navarro, Ms. Cinthia Vazquez, and Mr. Alfonso Vara. Our last and biggest thank you is to the St. Philip students past and present and our volunteers from Jesuit College Prep: Joseph Catalano, Anthony Catalano, Mario Gamez, Alan Pedraza, Santiago Alaniz, Julian Garza, Joseph Gasser, Kingsley Bryce, Tyler Curts, and William Towle. May God bless all of you.
