Volunteers

A security and background check is required for ALL who work at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic School in a professional or voluntary basis.
Forms are to be read and filled out by clergy, staff, and or volunteers who wish to be screened under the program and cleared for service.

The Diocese of Dallas developed its Safe Environment Program in order to:
• provide a safe and secure environment for the minors and vulnerable adults in
its faith communities
• reduce the possibility of false accusations against clergy, employees and
volunteers
• provide a structure for evaluating a person’s suitability to work with minors or
vulnerable adults
• provide a system to respond to the victim and his/her family as well as the
accused.
The Diocese requires each parish and Diocesan entity to implement the program. The
person responsible for the implementation of the program in an individual parish and/or
entity is generally referred to as a Safety Officer.
