About Us

St. Philip the Apostle School, originally constructed in1954, is a modern well-maintained building that is adjacent to St. Philip Church.
The facility has 13 full-size classrooms, a modern kitchen and a cafeteria, full size gym, a beautiful fenced playground with modern equipment and a soccer field. The school serves approximately 200 students, who reflect the diverse and racial background of the church parishioners.
Located in Southeast Dallas, the School draws students who would otherwise attend school in the cities of Dallas and Mesquite.  The School balances an emphasis on scholarship with religious instruction designed to teach our students to internalize the message of the gospel through worship, study and personal prayer.

St. Philip the Apostle Catholic School is a wonderful place to teach and learn. A great contributor to the schools greatness is the strong support from the parents and guardians, the school personnel, district administration and the Diocese of Dallas. The collaborative effort among all the constituents is critical to our advancement.

Developing our youth is a team effort. Our faculty and staff earnestly develop our students’ qualities of scholarship, character, citizenship, and service.   We are so grateful to the families for maintaining a similar focus, sending a consistent message to our youth.

As you browse the pages of this website, you will notice the wealth of opportunities offered to our students. I encourage students to take advantage of the possibilities and become involved in the extracurricular activities that interest them. When students become involved in sports, music, drama, and school sponsored clubs, scholastic achievement often improves. Becoming involved, teaches our students to budget their time, keeps them involved in productive activities, and holds them in structured, supervised settings with school aged peers with similar values and goals.

On behalf of the entire St. Philip the Apostle Catholic School faculty, thank you for supporting our school.  We hope you enjoy our website and the information it provides. Please feel free to contact us with other information if you wish.
