Boy Scouts


The Boy Scouts is open to young men ages 11 to 18. The program provides opportunities for individual and group achievement through merit badge programs, rank advancement and community service projects. In addition, camping and outdoor activities are part of the Scout life.

Dedicated to promoting self-discipline, goal-setting and achievement, personal growth, civic awareness and community volunteerism, the Boy Scouts provides an environment in which a young man can challenge himself physically, mentally and spiritually.

The mission statement of the Boy Scouts is this:

"The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law."

Cub Scout Pack/Boy Scout Troop News
Since its beginning, the Cub Scout program has been a fun and
educational experience concerned with values.

Besides providing a positive place where boys can enjoy safe, wholesome activities, Cub Scouting focuses onbuilding character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, anddeveloping a spirit of community service.

Cub Scouting is fun! no matter whatgrade you are in, 1st through 5th, it can be a blast. Scout Unit #2009 meets yearround on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month in the Scout house from 12:30-2:30p.m. St. Philip Scouts are provided with their scout shirt and handbook.

There is no registration fee however scouts will be asked to pay meeting dues
this upcoming year (dues are nominal and should become the responsibility of
the scout). The attached registration form may be filled out and returned via
email, to the school office or at the next meeting Sunday, September 2nd. Also
attached is the link to a uniform checklist per rank to complete the scout
uniform. The Circle Ten Council Scout Shop-Dallas is located at 8605 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas, TX 75235.
Boys in grades 6-8 may also apply for the Boy Scout Program using the same application.
